Hi,

I am planning to take a 3 hour flight tour of Prince William Sound from Anchorage on some day between 8/28 and 8/30. The flight tour operator informs me that as of now, I am the only passenger signed up, and they cannot fly without at least one more. Is there anyone on this forum who might be interested in joining me on this flight? It costs about $340 for the 3-hour flight including seeing the Columbia glacier and a landing somewhere in the sound for a photo op. Alternatively, there is a cheaper, shorter flight for $270 or so excluding the Columbia glacier. The flying service is Rust's Flying Service. Website: flyrusts.com

Kartik,
If you can't find anyone to join you on your flight with Rust's then you should look at Alpine Air in Girdwood. They fly helicopters, which are superior for aerial photography, they will even take off the doors so you can hang out the side! Plus they can land anywhere, so if you see something cool, just ask and your on the ground. The only draw back is that a helicopter can't cover as much ground, they also do a Prince William sound tour, the rate is about the same, you just don't get to see has much. If your going to spend the money and are serious about getting some nice aerial images, than check them out. Don't get me wrong, Rust's is a great service, one of the best in Alaska, but for photography you can't beat the helicopter. In fact, I am flying with Alpine Air tomorrow for a shoot!
