very nice Paul. Well lit and the mouthful of fish obviously adds to the image. I think I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the top.

Beautifully exposed shot, but I think I would have waited for it to turn its head just a little. Square on shows us the food nicely but it's the beak and how full it is together with some eye contact that would make it for me..
This is different to your average Puffin shot. Lovely exposure and nice BG. Nice one!

I like the unusual angle and the sharpness, maybe crop in a little more.

I like the way that the plumpness of the bird is repeated in the shape of the rock. A little bit different and all the better for it. Eric

Hi Paul,
Beautiful puffin shot!

Its funny, I've been to Skomer and the Farnes several times, but not come away with a shot like this and this is exactly what I want. Simple, but beautiful and colourful.
Lovely shot Paul. Very well exposed. Definitely a change from the norm. I like the crop and would keep it as is.

This is so different from the *standard* Puffin shot and this is what makes it stand out. I like it a lot and would not change any part of it. The full on staring into the lens is spot on IMHO.

Thanks all, as Colin says, it was the fact the puffin was looking right at me that i liked the image, i have loads of them with the bills flat on to me and only a few with them like this, i have another i'll post another time.

I like this head on view Paul. BG is lovely and the rock a great perch. Might be tempted to take a shade off the right to position the puffin in the centre but think the height is fine for this shot
