Good Morning Everyone,

Anil Rao, our co-moderator has decided to step down after several years of helping make CANP a nice place to visit. He has been a huge help to me, and for that I express my gratitude. Thanks, Anil!

Paul Breitkreuz has volunteered to step in and continue our efforts to help CANP to grow. Paul has been a frequent contributor to NPN/CANP over the years and his kind manner and passion for photography is truly an asset to our community.

Please join me in giving Anil a "Job Well Done!" and a welcome to Paul.

Your moderators appreciate your continuing support and participation at NPN and CANP! Thanks!

Preston

Thanks Anil! I wish you the best in your photographic endeavors and I hope you continue to hang around here as your work is among the best.

Welcome to moderatorhood Paul! I think you'll be perfect for the job.

If I could I would like to make some recommendations for the forum:

1. Free beverage of members choice for every image submitted
2. Quarterly, free members-only workshops at exotic locations within CA
3. CANP should provide group licensing and upgrades to PhotoShop for all members.
4. Provide unlimited film processing and free SD cards for those digi users
5. Free Web Hosting (includes database programming, web design and shopping cart)
6 CANP should provide a brick-n-mortar gallery - located in each of the major metro areas.

I may have a few other requests, but these will do for starters. Let me know when you guys get started on these....

Preston, Thank you very much for the very fine introduction and welcome to the co-moderator duties here at CANP. I truly hope I can be of help to you and other regional members that may need it.

Anil, I'm sure all that have received comments on thier work or any other communications from you personally, would totally agree with Preston's acknowledgement on your overall support. Additionally, your very fine, and always unique image posts are a constant inspiration to all. :wavey:

Lon, Thank you for your welcome to the duties as well. I'm sure Preston will have me review your list for further follow up needs......especially #1.... :toast:

Congrats Paul! I like all of Lon's suggestions, except swap out the SD cards for CF cards and we're set...
Posted by Paul Breitkreuz on August 5, 2008 at 11:12 AM
OK Richard, when the cards come in Cheerios & Cracker Jack boxes just maybe, until then you're on your own.

Anil, thanks for adding your talents to this forum over the years. Much appreciated!

Paul is an excellent choice to step into Anil's spot. I understand Paul is independently wealthy and quite generous. I am looking forward to the free film processing, the galleries and all the other benefits of membership in this forum.

Paul, fyi, Grey Goose will be my beverage of choice. :toast:

Congrats Paul, according to what Lon says you owe me 1 beverage.

First, special thanks for Anil for all of his good service to CANP. You've helped us all. Second, thanks to Paul for joining the moderator team. Now if we could only find a way to grant all of Lon's most reasonable requests. Best Regards to all.

:toast: Harley, Steve, and Michael, thank you very much for your comments.

I would have to say, Lon has set the "bar" pretty high here with regard to the CANP recommended offerings so to speak. I suspect when gas gets back to where I first started buying it at 19.9 cents per gallon as a teen, most items on the list would be obtainable with the S&H Green Trading Stamps we use to get back then with our gas purchases.

LOL... welcome Paul to CANP Moderator world....
and will YOU take my S&H Green stamps???
Maybe we could get some of Lon's list if we all pitch our stamps in?
I remember those gas wars  I was in my '65 Mustang
...and was a SF Valley girl back then....

...and Anil... Multo Gratias for a job well done...
Hope your beautiful images continue to grace this forum.

I don't have time to browse many forums but CANP is one I try
to make time for as I can recognize quality when I see it...
and that goes for the images and the quality of members..... :toast:

in gratitude,
Nelcha

Hi Nelcha, thank you for your recent comments here, and it is always nice to have you stop by at CANP when you do have time from your busy schedule. I really wonder how many folks still have those old S&H or Orange Trading Stamps stuffed away in some closet......take care.

Lon thinks these requests are the cats meow...

Hmmm? Since Paul is retired, and I will be by July of '09, I think the youngsters might consider footing the bill for the perks! So, for those members who are under the age of 50 (Lon) I will ask Jim to raise your dues to contribute to 1-6 above, and #7 below...

#7. Establish 401K's for the current moderators of CANP.

I hope everyone is having a nice summer, are looking forward to Fall, and enjoying their pursuits whatever they may be!
