I love the soft light here. What a dramatic scene! Looks like there's a lot of detail here, George. Are you shooting LF?

Great comp and subject, GS. Needs more contrast, it looks a little milky as is.

I bet you are going back when those cactus flowers bloom!

George...great ray of light that is hitting one rock and like Todd mentioned I think you increase contrast a bit more. The same look happens to me when I use lightroom... great place, great eye and great choice of angle....regards, Rajeev. :toast:

Great image! The light on the background rock really draws you in. Great sky also! If you shoot it when in bloom please post.

Sweetness! I really need to get more into the backcountry during this type of weather...

George! Did you add a bit more contrast to this because this looks better than yesterday!! May be it is just my monitor or even my head! But now that I am looking at it again...it is beautiful!! :toast: regards, Rajeev.

Your summer work and 'Mad Dogs & Photographers' essay have helped inspire me to get out in my own backyard to take advantage of the dramatic weather and sublime light that the area has to offer.
This image reinforces that inspiration. Very beautiful work, George!

Lovely image, George. Not sure if that fin is being spotlit or if it's just a different color than the surrounding rock, but that splash of warm color lends a lot to the scene. Beautiful subtle light, and great comp, too. Superb!
