This was taken at a site in Hertfordshire where my friends and i saw between two and three thousand of these.

Nice shot of a subject I have not seen for years. Unfortunately its just not sharp in enough places. The head is about OK but the rest is not. You could try some USM but the detail may not be there. - give it a go.

I've never had the pleasure of seeing one of these, let alone several thousand. A nice composition but needs a bit more sharpness, particularly the wings. Either more DOF and/or the lens needed to be more parallel with the wings.
