I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good source for photo books. I've used Shared Ink in the past, and while I am extremely satisfied with the product, I'd like to look to see what else is available.

I want to create a book with perhaps 25-30 pages of my images and text, as a gift. Hardbound or soft cover is fine. I'd like to find one I can create online - upload photos, etc, and hopefully be able to find a site with good instructions and navigation to be able to do this as simple as possible.

Thanks in advance for any help that any of you might be able to provide!

There's really lengthy discussion with feedback from experienced folks here and in the companion link it references. Good stuff!

I have used MPix and the two books I did came out good. One was a hardcover and the other had a photo wraparound cover. The only thing a little frustrating with them is if you have a question you have to email them with it. They don't have any contact phone number. They were also very quick to print and send it to me once I was done at my end.

I've done a few books using iphoto from Apple. Great color reproduction and quality with a very quick turn around.

Not sure if it will help give you a good feeling about Blurb Ned, but John Paul Caponigro has a book available there, which I assume means Blurb meets his (I'd imagine) very high standards.

You can now make a 10 page one at Walmart, 8x10 on the Kodak Picture Maker, for about $25. Extra pages are $2 each. They have about five different colors of binders.
