Not sure as to what type of Grasshopper, probably just the common.

Very Nice - I love the complimentary background colours. The detail is amazing - I bet the full size version is stunning!

a nicely taken shot Tony, it's never easy getting an uncluttered background with grasshoppers. A touch more DOF would have helped keep the wing tips sharp but still very nice as it is.
