Actually, this is the little lake/pond just below Clear Lake near Silverton. I'm looking for opinions on the comp of this one. For something different, I tried to balance the shot diagonally with the mountains and reflection in the upper left against the flowery shoreline in the lower right. I just can't decide if it really works though. Sometimes I want to like certain images too much and need to hear that I should leave them be. Anyway....thumbs up? thumbs down?
Compositionally, it's a big thumbs up. Feels very well balanced to me. Could use a little more breathing room at the top, especially for printing and matting, but that's a minor nit. For my tastes, I'd brighten up the darker areas a little, but overall it's outstanding - the flowers, the scene, the reflection and aplenglow... it all comes together very nicely with your comp.
Thumbs up from me. Lovely scene and I think that the diagonal composition works well.

I agree with the comments regarding the darker areas. This could be improved some.
I like the composition, especially the diagonal; however, the bottom left corner bothers me. I think this would flow better if the diagonal terminated in the corner rather than just short of it. Something like you have in your two upper corners where the diagonals terminate in the corners.
Also, I can totally understand your comment about sometimes wanting to like certain images too much. I often fall in the same trap, so 2nd and 3rd opinions are always helpful.

Huge thumbs up from me. Stunning, especially the glow.
I was fortunate to be in the San Juans in July, 2007. I've encountered an unexpected challenge with scenes like this - convincing people who don't live there to believe that this a realistic depiction of these scenes.
I think the composition is good. Great image! I just returned from there and totally agree with Lance. It seems too beautiful to be real. An even better treat to take in in person.
Just as a suggestion, the mountain and pile of snow might be a little centered. You might consider a 4x5 crop of the right side. To me it makes it just a little more dynamic.
I like it very much; but as others have said a bit brighter in the foregraound is worth trying.

Boy that is nice. The composition seems just right to me. It would be tempting to lighten the lower right hand corner a little, but nothing wrong as is. I was unable to make it down to the San Juans this year and this is a great reminder that that just isn't much like it anywhere else. Great scene!

The shoreline breaks the reflection at a perfect point. You're certainly on a roll this summer, Guy!
