After dealing with Denver's many 90+ degree days, I headed up to RMNP to climb the Taylor Glacier. Here's one shot that I liked from the trip. Comments/Critiques are welcome.

Killer stuff! I love the "alternate route" photo. That serious straddle pic is a mind-blower, too.

Awesome stuff, Scott! I really like the view of Andy (I think) climbing en route to the glacier.

On a side note, are these actual glaciers? I thought I read somewhere that they are no longer considered true glaciers. Just curious...

I love living (climbing) vicariously through you. Nice series.

Awesome series, Scott -- as someone who used to live with a climber of all things rock & ice, I really enjoy your postings, I find the whole idea of climbing this stuff fascinating -- though too scary for me.

Thanks for your comments. Bret, several of the guys that I climb with are geologists. I'll ask them about the glaciers. Paul, good to hear that you have an appreciation for climbing. If you have a desire to follow it without actually climbing, Alpinist Magazine and the American Alpine Journal are worth taking a look at.

That is some gnarly terrain! And your photos show it well. I really like the "alternate route" shot, but I can't say I'm a big fan of the b/w/color combo. Looks like fun.
