It's been a very long time coming, but it looks like our "escape from Long Island" is now at hand! We are due to close the sale of our LI house the end of this month, at which point Donna and I will be living in my Derry, NH apartment. I've been living in the apt. since December when I took a job with a large manufacturer in northern MA, "commuting" home to LI each weekend to be with the family. If all goes according to plan, we will close on our "new" home in Bedford, NH the end of September.

With our move to NH complete, I am very much looking forward to taking up my nature photography hobby once again. Would anyone be interested in getting together for few autumn foliage shoots? Perhaps we can identify a few good locations and plan accordingly.

Let me know if you're game!

Hi Jim! Long time coming (here) huh? Yeah to your progress!! I don't know how much of NH you've seen but it is definitely a really pretty state no matter where you are. If you come up to the northern half, I'd love to meet you and Donna. My normal days off are Thursday and Friday but once in awhile I can switch Saturday for Thursday although I prefer to work the weekends. Less tourists. So count me in!!!

Hi Jim! Congratulations on your escape from LI. I did that about 25 years ago (and never looked back in regret) though I never made it quite to living in NH it is one of my favorite places to visit. I'd really enjoy getting together up there for some foliage shooting, weekends will be the best for me and my husband but we could probably squeak out a Friday, RI is only about 2 1/2 hours from Southern NH.

Jim,
That is great news ! Tough market to sell a house in I'm very glad it worked out for you. We will be planning an autumn NENP outing somewhere around th eend of September and I am sure there will be lots of other opportunities as well. With all the rain we are getting this summer I hope th eleave will put on a real show for us in Sept/Oct.

Welcome to the great four season corner of the US!

End of September sounds fine! We took quite a hosing on the house on LI to move it, but it's done! :toast:
