Sunrise at Crex Meadows
I’ve been looking for a place to shoot migrating birds and I think I’ve found just the place only a couple of hours away. I made a reconnaissance trip to Crex Meadows near Grantsburg, Wisconsin last week. Although there weren’t that many birds around I was able to get some shots of Geese, Trumpeter Swans as well as some nice water and flower shots. It is a fantastic place to photograph. I’ve put some of the photos from the trip on my web site

Nicely done, Phil...looks like you came away with some good shots.

Phil, I do enjoy the various layers of this shot. For me, the only nit might be the orange color cast in the darker areas ( grasses etc.). That may not be doable seeing how it is reflected light off the fog! :toast:

Looks like this fall you will be having a lot of fun.

I envy you!

Nice shots and nice location.

I agree...very promising location. Nice shot here, I also find the various layers to be visually interesting. I'd be tempted in this situation to center the sun horizontally (gasp ).
