Wall Arch, in the Devil's Garden area of the park, collapsed some time on the evening of Aug. 4. The trail past Landscape Arch is closed indefinitely until park officials declare the area safe.

I know you were there and have the photo of the arc falling.
I was quite surprised to hear the news. It seemed one of the more sturdy arches but then again, I'm no geologist. Good thing it happened at night or there could have been a lot of deaths/injuries. That is one of the few shady areas on the trail and people tend to congregate there in the summer.

Wow... Wall was on my list of "don't have it yet, need it" arch pictures. I probably have an old slide of it, but nothing good. I never thought Wall was in danger of falling this soon. I expect Landscape Arch to collapse sometime in my lifetime, but Wall looked sturdier.
