Misty Mountains
I was up at Long Lake in the Brainard Lake area yesterday morning. It was a pretty good sunrise. Would have been perfect if the wind wasn't howling but I'd still rather have clouds and wind then no wind and a cloudless sky.

I've posted another shot over in ES&S too.

Sony Alpha A700
CZ 16-80 @ 55mm
ISO 200, f/9, 1/15s
LR 2 and CS3

I will vouch for the wind, I was shooting sunrise from Red Rock lake!. The clouds sure did make for an interesting morning, I like how you captured this close up view of Niwot ridge!.

Gorgeous light here, Matt. And the inclement weather brings some nice drama to the scene.

The light and clouds work really well together in this scene. Beautiful.

Thanks everyone! the more I look at this shot, the more I like it. Thanks for the validation!

I was going to shoot from Red Rock Lake too Nick, but I got up there early enough that I had time and figured I'd drive up to Long Lake and try from there. I saw some tents there at Red Rock Lake, was that you?
