An icon of the southwest is no more. A sad day for our natural resources.

Erosion is inevitable, I know, but it's sad to see a land mark gone.

Dominic, I read about this over the weekend. What's inevitable is that they are all going to come down some day. What's not inevitable is that no one was hurt or killed during the collapse. Lucky ...

What's sad is that when I was standing underneath of this arch in the fall of 2006 - in the light at the moment - I didn't find anything worth photographing. Now I wish I'd taken at least a snapshot!
