Hi Major,

Lovely lighting. The black BG really helps the Owl to stand out. Nice wing position and position in the frame. Did they succesfully get young fledged??

Very very nice

Regards

Rob

The black BG is a wooded area Rob and it did serve well to set things off. This bird has no ring so I am thinking its one of this years. Compaired to early on in the year there are few birds about. Think a lot of them perished after the shortage of food. Still some young in the Old control tower at this moment in time.
Alan this was as is so to speak but I can see your POV. Have done some cards of this and it does seem to work reasonably well. Joe public dont care as much and you can get away with it.

Stunning shot Major.
The way the warm sunlight is spot-lighting the owl against the darker backdrop is quite something. :toast:

You would not believe the difference Justin in images from the bird coming head on down the field to this one as it veered off to my left. The evening sun was just right but required that comp of 1.7EV to save the whites not getting too hot. Many thanks.

Great picture.! I think a bit up to the North West  would help a bit .
Interesting slant on Joe Public major ! I sold quite a few cards at a local show yesterday but they were(the public ) very particular. Must have been spoilt by car boots !!

I can well imagine. It's certainly transformed this image into something a bit special.
