.............Being carried by a Barn Owl
Hi All,
I'm still trying for "the" shot . Farmer is busy harvesting so I may have a few days until the field gets cut and goes under the plough. Anyway, my time spent with the Owl's has given me some brilliant views of them, but tonight she flew straight down the lens. I saw her catch this Vole and take it into a tree directly behind my hide (land rover)so I got out and stood there and waited camera in hand, a few seconds later she took off flew straight at me and over my head, off to feed the young, who are now flitting about in the nest tree.
All comments welcome
Regards
Rob

You should have sent the vole over Rob.
Its a great thrill to watch these coming straight towards you and if you keep perfectly still I am sure I have know need to tell you how close they can come.
Like the added vegetation giving that bit of colour and vibrance to the image.
Perhaps if you had waited a second later Rob you may have got some eyelights.
Hi can see why you dedicate so much time to the owls, photographing them sounds like quite an addictive thing.
A fine behavioural shot with the owl positioned really well within the frame.
I like the inclusion of the Ragwort, although any horse owners will disagree on that one.

Really like this one Rob, the inclusion of some habitat makes the image for me, a fine shot.
