If you've seen enough of these cottonwoods, my apologies. But I liked how this one turned out and thought it worth sharing. Also, thanks for the feedback on the first; though it wasn't for everyone, the comments were helpful in adjusting my technique. I think the transition zone between grasses and trees is a little easier on the eyes than in the first.
The first printed up very nicely on Hahnemuhle Photorag. I matted and framed it, and immediately realized that I needed a second similar print for a balanced display. This fit the bill, and the two look pretty nice hanging together.
Similar process as before, though I pulled through a little more detail from the sharp layer to give the eye a focal point and resting place.
p.s. If anyone is interested in more info on the technique, you can search on "motion blur" on the forum search and check out Jesse's posts; I also have info on my "under construction" blog.

Oh yeah! This works very nicely. Those slightly sharper, dark tree trunks give my eyes a focal point to hang on too. Wish I could see the orignal framed.

I don't think I commented on the your first posts but I've really enjoyed the photos. This one is exceptional. The colors and abstract forms are lovely. This will make a fine print!

I remember seeing the first ones you posted, I liked the technique!. This one is very well done, and will certainly look good hanging up as a pair!.

I can never get enough of this sort of work. Very nicely done!
It wouldn't break my heart if you lost the one 'scratch' in the upper left quadrant that looks like a white hair, though.

Rick, this is superb! Your cottonwood series has been inspiring. If there is a best of the lot this might be it by my eye.
