Hello All
Sorting through some images for a new project I came across this picture of a wildcat taken in Scotland (as apposed to a wildlife collection elsewhere). Of all the images I made of this cat, two stood out - both had the subject as part of its environment!
This individual was reasonably habituated but its deportment left you in no doubt it was a wild cat.
C&C welcomed.
Cheers, Chris

Thats one cool image you have captured there Chris, personally I think the comp is excellent and works very well, though some may disagree. Habituated or not, it's a fine image.
Wonderful picture of a great subject Chris, it has a fantastic expression on it's face. I love these cats and it's a great shame to see them in such dire trouble. As for the comp, perhaps a touch more space above as it just seems a tad tight to me, otherwise spot on.

Hi Chris,
Very nice indeed! Really like the comp and those eyes!
I remember on Springwatch they had a hell of alot of difficulty in finding these, and said they are very very shy and wary, so seems quite surprising that one has started to interact with humans so much, but I guess most animals will do if there is free food on offer! I'm not for one second suggesting your image is not of a Wildcat, I'm just surprised one has started associating itself with humans.
Nice work
Regards
Rob

The letterbox format works really well,i think you should tape your 500 mm onto an Xpan!!!!
