Thanks for the advice on where to shoot on my brief trip to Denver. There were some nice sunrises from my Hotel window and I unfortunately didn't make it up Mt. Evans. I got one opportunity to do some shooting and I deciced to get up early and head for RMNP and Dream Lake. I left the hotel at 2:30 and as you said, it took just about 2 hours to the Bear Lake trailhead. A 30 minute hike in the dark had me at Dream lake well before sunrise. As it turned out, the only other person I saw was a photographer from Oregon and we both sat and waited for the light. The sunrise in the opposite direction looked spectacular but I was where I was and didn't know enough about other vantage points to try and scramble for something else. We got a few moments of decent light and I did the best I could. It was a beautiful morning and a beautiful drive. I hope to return again soon, hopefully in the fall. Best of success.

Thanks for stopping in Larry. You've got a pretty nice Dream Lake shot here. Glad you had a good trip. Hopefully you can have a chance to come back out just for photography.
