More lightning
Here's a couple from last night. Note that the first one is a two-minute, 17-second exposure, and the second is a six-minute exposure. Both have a comparable number of strikes. In other words, there was some intensity in that two minutes!

And #2...The red glow in the clouds (and bouncing back to the ground) is from some of Pueblo's city lights.

Wow! Very impressive again. I don't think the red glow detracts from that pic. I've tried shooting lightning near Denver and the red glow throughout the photos pretty much destroys the pics.

You are getting good at this! These are terrific, especially the first one. How are you keeping yourself safe?

I think the red glow in #2 really enhances the image. :toast:

Both are awesome! Tesla would be jealous! You have an affinity for lightning, so just be sure you keep a good distance to avoid being prematurely carbonized.

Pretty nice Todd. The lightning woke me up at 3AM and I thought about getting up to chase it. But I didn't think about it for very long.

Fantastic!

These both make me quiver just a little bit! They are great. I like the second especially, because of the foreground detail.

#2 Gets my vote! I love the red in the clouds, it adds to the shot IMO.

Simply awesome Todd. I agree with Grant, I don't mind the glow on #2 either, although you might need to ramp up the noise reduction on it.

Outta this world! I want to know how that tower in #2 escaped obliteration. Not that you asked for preferences, but #1 comes across as more powerful to me. I don't mind the red glow in #2, but the darker sky and foreground in #1 makes it more foreboding, imo.

Both are very good, but the color in the second one gives it more drama and captivates me more.

I like the 2d as well. 2 minutes is cheating though

Positively electrifying TC! I lean towards the first due to the darker foreground but both are very nice.

I can feel the hairs standing up just looking at these!

Both are awesome!!! I really like the second though, because of those luscious textures and colors in the clouds, and the illuminated foreground. Amazing!

Stunning stuff, Todd. Your lightning shots always impress me.
