wow! Thanks for sharing!
What a great trip, and kudos to getting your daughter involved so young. The fox is just such a treat to see, let alone photograph and let alone at her age!
I just LOVE the loon, but they are all wonderful. The loon is tack sharp and you can really see that they indeed have a green tint.
A little photoshop editing and the fox will really pop out.

That's a terrific series! The photos really mirror your feelings.
The loon is to die for.
And I agree compltely with Lisa - I hope you take another run at the fox shots and repost them. You've done the hard work in the field. Now you've got great fox shots. A bit more time on the PC and they will rock like the loon shot.

Hey Peter,
Great stuff! Was that your 1st time there? The fox and GB are stellar! Here in VT I'm already seeing some slight signs of color change in the hillsides. It may come early this year, but still to hard to to tell. We've had so much rain the last two months. 3rd wettest on record. I went to one of my favorite spots yesterday and the reds along the shore were very apparent with the saplings and such.
Hey Pete!! Good for you bringing everyone up. Nice shots of the animals although I think my favorite actually is the thistle. Great DOF. Next time they come up with you, I'd love to meet them. I think Sarah has LOTS of potential!!!
Looks like a great trip...but it's tough not to have one up there...wild, beautiful and uncrowded. I think you did a great job on all the wildlife photos, and especially like the loon and your fox shot. The bunchberries in the background of the fox really add interest to the composition.
Great to see a shot by your daughter as well...I remember all the times my father let me play with his camera on our first trip cross country...a lesson that stuck!
