I feel awful about pleading for your help but the opportunity is to hard to pass. I am one of eight finalists in the National Geographic Travel photo Contest from 8100 submissions. The winner receives a trip for two to Tanzania with a National geographic photographer and their image in the Dec 2008 issue. Being that I have a 1 in 8 chance of winning I am appealing to my photography forum and mentors to take a minute to vote at this link:

I realize that this is a hassle but it would mean everything in the world to me to win. I would be forever grateful to you for your time. Thank you for your time. Kevin McNeal

Not one bit of a "hassle" as you put it Kevin. I'm thrilled to vote for a fellow NPNer is such a big contest. Best of luck.
P.S. Work out the html coding for your link above to make it easier for passers by to click and vote.

Kevin, I just got a thank-you e-mail from N.G. that seemed to imply we can vote more than once. It said: Remember that you can vote on your favorite from August 15 to August 28.
Does that mean we can vote over and over again?

It was a bit af a hassle with the registration thing, not allowing foreign people, but I cheated with the postalcode and state :-)
You've got my vote. Well done by the way.

Hey, I bet pro athletes pay people big bucks to vote for them in all star games.

I always feel conflicted about this kind of thing... voting for someone because we share a forum. Honestly, I tend to vote for the image I like best then feel a bit guilty for not supporting a colleague. Luckily, your image was easily the best of the group, IMO. Voted!
