Nice, Andy, i hope to get my 150+TC out this weekend and get some at my spot.
I find the eyes never look sharp in small images, and look OOF even when they are in focus.
Some seems to be much more yellow than others, is this due to age or location Andy?

There's no regional variation that I know of Paul, it's just a maturity thing - the males abdomen will turn vibrant red late in the season if he makes it that far.
(The one you posted the other day was a female - different colour)
Some CD's are a bit small this year so be careful you don't confuse them with Ruddys' or Red Veined.
Just put a 100% crop link on the original post - nah, it's not OoF where it matters

Great in your face shot Andy!
Like the 45 degrees angle you have chosen!
another nice one Andy. I've normally found a few of these co-operative CDs by now but none yet this year that will sit and pose for me. In fact I've only seen a handful in total.

Another wonderfully detailed shot Andy. I like the comp especially on this one. Eric
