Labor day weekend suggestion

Hi, I am planning a short 4 day trip around Labor day weekend and the current plan is to fly in PDX Friday night and flying out from SEA or PDX Tuesday night. Is there any suggestion on places that I shouldn’t miss? I am basically looking for waterfall (Columbia River Gorge?), coasts (any specific suggestions?), and perhaps rain-forests (Olympic). Note sure if I have time to hit Painted Hills or other areas for alpine flowers/lakes, but any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Check out Eagle Creek in the Gorge, very nice, plenty of waterfalls, moderate hiking.

As you are from Colorado, I would suggest Olympic rain forests if in Seattle or the Gorge if here in Portland.
