It's not that I don't enjoy viewing all the beautiful Dahlia postings from recent weeks, but I thought just maybe, some might be ready for a little variety. Actually, I think I'm a little jealous that I can't get out right now to the Dahlia Fields as I broke my arm and hauling the slr and lenses isn't possible for awhile.
So I present you with a posting, a favorite from my collection... the beautiful Northern Shoveler hen.

Would you look at that schnoz! Heh-heh, one of my favorite ducks, too, Chris. Very nice shot.

So many photos focus on the males, it's nice to see a great female shot!
