I got the RAW file for the processing game and I cannot open it to process. I have tried in Zoombrowzer EX and Digital Photo Professional and I can't open the file anywhere. I can see it in Zoombrowzer but in DPP all that shows is a square with an X through it. Any suggestions???

Sounds like you need to download the patch that allows you to view Canon RAW files Pamela, try the Canon site or run an update on your Photoshop or other software. The patch when installed will probably work for all software on your machine.

Pam, I am not familiar with either one of those programs, so I don't know for sure. The only thing that I can think of is that they are not able to read the Canon Camera Raw format. It will show the file, but doesn't know how to open it. What file formats do you usually use?

You can download Adobe DNG converter. Then you should have no trouble.

The RAW file was taken with a Canon DSLR, but Momo didn't say which camera was used, so it could depend on which version of DPP you have. The latest version is 3.2.0.4
If the RAW was taken with a Canon 40D, 1DIII, or 1DsIII, it will not be supported by a previous version.
Go to Canon's update site and get the latest version.

Thanks guys! I looked at the exposure info on DPP and it stated all the exposure parameters plus the fact that it was taken with a Digital Rebel XTi. I downloaded the latest version of DPP and that seems to have done the trick. Really appreciate all your advice
