St. Mary's Lake under moonlight
Just got back from a road trip to Washington. We stopped in Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton on the way back. I slept in the car right at the overlook to get this shot. I was hoping to catch the peaks illuminated by moonlight. The reflection was an unexpected bonus. I'm glad I shot this as absolutely nothing happened with the sunrise that morning. This was my first real trip to Glacier and it was way too short. Hot too. It was 95 degrees the day we arrived. Very minimal post processing on this one.
Thanks for any comments.

This is really neat, love the highlight on the left shore. What moon phase did you have?

Very nice! That hint of warmth in the water is the perfect touch.

Cheers,

I really like this, Paul! A unique take on this view. The subtle reflection is great and I love all the blues. Very nice.

Thanks guys. Don, the moon was between half and 3/4 full and was straight above the peaks on the left side.

The warm glow is very nice Paul. The oppressive heat is finally easing up a bit here. Finally!

Nice one! I really like the purply colors and the atmospheric layers of mountains.
