Roe Doe Two
looked at the last image and saw it wasn't processed very well so hopefully this is a bit better, probably my favourite roe shot from the trip,

i was stalking a buck, when all of a sudden this doe came running out of nowhere and then turned and ran towards me!! unfortunately she then proceeded to demonstrate one of her less dignified bodily functions, a few seconds later the buck chased of after her

40D + 300mm F4L + 1.4 extender
1/125 @ f5.6
ISO 320
full frame

Very nice Jack, great pose and eye contact, think you can go a little tighter with the framing, do you have any more room at the bottom ???

Andy...

cheers Andy, i did consider going tighter but i liked the composition, this is full frame so no more room at the bottom

No problem Jack, like it anyway, were you using any type of concealment ???

no concealment at all just dark muted clothing, and a tripod, my lens is bright white though

I like the viewpoint and the eye contact is excellent.
Sounds like you caught them right in the peak of the rut

Hi Jack,

Really good expression on the Deer, and great composition, colours and sharpness look good to. She does look like she is ready to relieve herself

Great shot

Regards

Rob

I love this shot Jack,
If you had said nothing I would have thought that she had just screeched to a halt having seen you. She really stands out from the background and looking straight down the barrel as well. Certainly does it for me.

Very fine action shot and timing.
For me she was startled about seeing something different. (You)
Her body shows pure concentration, a mixture of coriousness and attendence for escape.
greetings,
Bertl

This is how many people see them, a split second later all they see is their ass... A nice spontaneous shot of a rather startled/supprised deer. Has it just stood up?

That is a cracking image Jack, it really pops. Very nice behavioural shot.
