What is the best way to go on this? Dry mount and then laminate or the other way around. I am dry mounting to foam core.
Where can I get a press second hand for less than the price of a camera?

What do you mean by "lamination?"

Lee,
This is one of the services the company I work for provides. We always dry mount to foam core before we laminate. The fome core provides a base so the final product comes out smooth and wrinkle free.
Erik: Thank you, I have always mounted prior to lamination. The service I use has a new machine and is advising to laminate prior to dry mounting. I am concerned that the heat required to dry mount affect the lamination?

Lee, Thanks,. I just wasn't sure what you meant. I've been dry mounting my images with a seal 210M and then framing them behind glass after matting. I can highly recommend the 210M it's a great press. New they run over a $1000, I got mine off ebay a few years back for under $500 including shipping, but I searched for a while.

For some reason the website server decided to post duplicates for two of our posters on this thread. As moderator I deleted the dupes.

The lamanation can be heat activated or pressure(cold lam). We use heat activated laminate and when we do the dry mounting, we run the boards through the cold rollers.
