Took these from my bedroom window. It started out a few miles from my house and by the time it went back up it was around 1 - 1.5 miles from my house. A lot smaller and less intimidating then the tornados I grew up seeing every summer in Kansas as a kid, but still pretty cool to watch out your bedroom window.

Hi Brian,
You were a little closer than me looking the same direction I think...I have a couple photos from my balcony in Stroh Ranch, but I couldn't see the bottom of it. You sound so calm about it...I didn't grow up in tornado country and I live on the third floor...so was bit freaked. Great shots! I'm really wondering why Parker doesn't have a siren warning at least one that can be heard south of Parker?

Wow that is cool. I've never witnessed a tornado in my life. Been in plenty of earthquakes, but those are difficult to capture on film.

Funny you should ask about the siren's as I don't think Parker has them. They have them farther east as last Wednesday I was driving home from the DEN airport somewhere around the Southlands Mall area off E470 and I heard sirens blaring. Looked to my left and wow there's a tornado about 5 - 6 miles east of the Mall area. As far as the calmness, I've seen my share of F3 and F4 tornado's in my life and when you see one of those it WILL get your attention. I use to chase these things around like Stan did this summer as a kid growing up. These while not to be taken lightly are more in the F0 maybe F1 size. I've seen 3 different tornado's in about 5 days and I never thought it was possible around here.

If you seen the video on the news sites of those McMansions they went right by, here's from my house view.

Beautiful and scary at the same time. I lived in Castle Rock for three years and in Loveland for much, much longer. Tornados are pretty rare in those areas and now we've had some pretty notable ones in Windsor and Parker all in the same year. Strange.
