I am leaving on Tuesday for a week up to Wonder lake and I was wondering if anyone had any advice about the reflections in Wonder Lake. I heard that to see the reflection in the mountain (if it ever shows) you need to travel at least three miles from the Wonder Lake campsite. Is this true ? Does anyone have any advice for catching a possible sunrise or sunset ? Is is advantageous to rent a bike and travel along the gravel road to get there ?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Kevin,

Take a peak in the Alaska forum, there is a thread in there about Reflection Pond, and how to find it. The North end of Wonder Lake is another great spot for the mountain, as are the numerous ponds in the area.

I think a mountain bike can be very effective in Denali - I used to regularly use one.
