July Trip to the San Juans

We had an abundance of clouds and rain during our trip, but had some nice weather in the mornings. The first one is Potosi Peak from Engineer Pass

This one is the connecting ridge to Red Mountain #3

This one is what some of the locals were calling Velocity Basin, regardless, that is Storm Peak in the background

The last is some very vibrant Indian Paintbrush near Blackbear Pass

A quick note on Storm Peak, is I was using the 16-35mm @ 16mm on a 5D and still couldn't encompass the clouds above the peak. Thanks for looking.

Love that green trundra in #1. #3 is my fav. I agree I'd like to see a little more of the cloud above the peak. Love those super-wides!

Beautiful! I knew i should have taken shots of Red Mtn (light sucked tho)! I like #1 and the flower shot the best.

Wow. Great angle on the Red Mtn. shot. Excellent colors on the lake photos as well, that water doesn't seem like it couldn't be any clearer. Looks like you were blessed with very little wind up there. A nice collection indeed.

#2 and #3 are very nice. I love that reflection of the snow in #3.
