I managed to get up to Hanging Lake earlier this summer. This was after taking my son up to Glenwood Springs Adventure Park. After riding the swing which basically swings out over the edge of the canyon I was ready for a nice quiet hike. I made it up the next day before the sun lit the canyon.
Would appreciate your opinions of these.

And the last.

These are both really, really nice, Rand!

Both are VERY nice indeed.
I'm really drawn to the second one. Beautiful comp Rand. (It also works very well as a square crop, from the left edge.)

I think they're both superb. I might take a little off the top of the first one.
Cheers,

Great shots, and I agree wih Mark about cropping a bit off the top one
gotta say, the zig-zag leadin (on the top image) is mighty powerful. I agree with recommendations for a crop off the top. Very nice work..

Love the first one, and agree that a bit off the top might be a good suggestion.
Are those Bog Orchids growing on that log all in a line? Very nice.

I like them both! I've always wanted to go there and this is a little inspiration.
Wonder what this would look like with some fall colors or a little snow?

I really like the colour range of greens and blues in the first image, the comp may benefit from the crop!. Two great waterfall images!.

Good stuff Rand. Its one of those places I've passed many times in route to somewhere else. The other big one was Black Canyon and I finally stopped there and love it! I'll have to make the time to stop for this place too.
Are all of the green flower spikes bog orchids?

I'm not sure, but they look very similar to bog orchids. I'll have to do a little more research. I need to find a good web site for flower identification.

I can see why you may have not cropped the top of #1, as I like those lime green aspen up there...
