Just having some fun processing more photos from my summer trips.
This image is from the Deep Lake area, reflections at sunset.

After sunset on a clear night ... looking towards the Cirque of the Towers.

The "broken" cascade that appears in my previous post.

"Temple Path" - the tundra was very baked up here - almost looked like the dead of autumn. But very beautiful, in the right light.

That last one spiked my "wow" meter right off the bat. All are quite nice, Jesse. I'm envious of your new home and the opportunities it affords!

Above Deep Lake ... East Temple Peak and the Steeple tower overhead.
That's all!

All wonderful comps, every one a winner! What time of year was this? Ice in some shots, then you talk of baked tundra?

Outstanding! The two ice shots are my favorites.

Don, I took two backpacking trips to the same place this summer. My first trip was July 12th-15th. The second trip was August 4th-7th.
Most of the lakes were partially ice covered on the first trip. Lots of water everywhere, flowers hadn't emerged yet, etc. My second visit revealed it hadn't rained much in between. The tundra was indeed mostly fried, wildflowers were scarce, the streams were barely trickling and a wildfire was raging miles to the north. Good thing the scenery is stunning up there!
Jesse, all are excellent. Temple Lake Ice takes excellent and moves a few steps beyond. If I ever met a guy ready to play in the majors, it's Jesse Speer.....

You got some excellent images Jesse! I can't just pick one, I like em all. If I had to choose it would be Sunrise at Temple Lake

Sweeeeet! Sunrise at Temple Lake is frickin awesome, man. I also like the cool, blue 2nd image. WOW.
Wow - I never got a chance to comment on the first set, but those were really some great images. These... these are just outstanding. Just amazing comps and fantastic execution in every way. Temple Lake Ice might be my favorite, but it's hard to pick one!

Wow! Hard to pick a favorite! Keep em coming. I hope I have anything half as nice once I get time to catch up on processing.
The ice detail and Sunrise at Temple Lake are awesome!

Fantastic stuff here, Jesse! Cirque of the towers reflection is my fav.
Most people are happy to master one type of point of view in photography. You have it all down. Wide angles, sunset silhouettes with graphic elements, telephoto extractions, intimates, and that eye for compostions. Those are all presented expertly here. The only thing missing, just about, is a macro. I always enjoy a Jesse Speer photograph. Majors indeed.

They are all gorgeous, but I really really dig the first one! Awesome stuff.
Late to the party, but... these are all NICE. Not possible to single out a favorite - they're all very compelling for very different reasons.
I love the light on Haystack; I shot more in that direction at sunset than I did looking across Deep Lake. It's oriented perfectly and seems to absolutely glow. Great, simple shot of the Cirque across Deep Lake - what a profile! The intimate ice shots are special, particularly the second, which elicited a quiet gasp when I saw it. The last two rock - great portraits of a powerful landscape.
