I'll be camping at Killen Creek campground this weekend and shooting Mt Adams from Muddy Meadows. I have a shot in mind that I've been trying to get for years.
Anyway, if any of you are in the area, stop and have a beer.
BTW: look for a White GMC with a canopy. kind of resembles Moby Dick

Curtis,
Good to hear from you. I hope you get the shot your looking for and that the weather doesn't turn sour like they are forecasting. They are even talking snow at 6000 feet.
heh-heh, Moby Dick, that's a good one. Be careful up there, Curtis, and I hope you get the shot-- and some company.

yeah, I've been watching the forecasts. Looks like I'll be packing my long johns in august! But the weather should give me some better skies to work with. That is if the mountain is visible...

I won't be able to join (Wish I could!), but hope to see your results.

We I accomplished one of my two goals for the weekend. I relaxed and enjoyed being in the mountains.
The mountain was either socked in, or had no alpenlight to speak of, so I didn't get the shot I was looking for. I got lots of wildflower shots. I'm still going through the images, but at first glance nothing stands out for posting.
