Great Crested Grebe.
Canon 20D, Canon 500mm f4, 1/1000 sec @ f6.3, Iso 400, Raw.
Gitzo 1548/B1.
Levels, curves, hue/saturation, cropped on three sides for web presentation.



Hi,

One from a few days ago. I havn't got any shots of Great Crested Grebe chicks before so quite pleased to come across this oppurtunity.

Nice picture.
A little more canvas on the right would improve the feel of it I reckon.

Crisp clean and works well for me - poss a little more space as John says, but less important given the slight crop imo.

Lovely Justin, I really like the young with their stripey necks! Been watching a family of these as well today but they didn't come anywhere near close enough for a shot as good as this :smile:
