Black Guillemot yawning
taken on Mousa, in very heavy fog. The challenge here was to get a background that wasn't white, as far from being atmospheric it just wasn't very nice and since the guillemots perch right on the edge of the rocks, avoiding it requires alot of manouvering

I like this a lot Jack. Exposure is difficult with black birds and you have this one spot on. Good viewpoint and background as well. Very nice.

Certainly looks like you've had a good trip Jack - have one planned for next summer (including a trip to Mousa) and as ever really looking forward to it.

I really love Black Guillemots and it's the red mouth I find most appealing - this shot really captures that feature so I like it a lot. Shame you didn't have better weather but you've certainly made the most of it.
