Here's another pic of the Castle Valley fire, taken last night from my cabin's porch. As you can see it's moved well up into the La Sals and fortunately doesn't appear to be threatening many structures. The smoke today is minimal compared to Bret's shots.
It seems I no longer have to leave my porch to capture nature at it's most extreme, as the moonbow and storm shots I last posted were also taken from the same spot (sometimes laziness pays off...).

How's that saying go - Hard work pays off later, but laziness pays off now?
Very cool shot!

Whoa! Grant glad you are safe. I trust it is not threating your place. It is sad to watch the Colorado landscape burning but, like beetle kill it is part of nature. Nice shot and all those stars!

I've had several front porch images of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains which I've posted here, although Todd yelled at me for it. I've since added a front porch to my vehicle which allows more diverse images.
This is a cool shot, and hopefully your place isn't in danger.
