Great Crested Grebe
In keeping with today's common theme of GCG's I thought I'd post one I got this lunchtime from a perch of my own on a pallet used as a fishing platform by the local kids.

40D + Sigma 120-300 @ 300mm + 2xTC, ISO 250 @ f7.1 for 1/200, +1ev

Looking at the techs now I think I must have knocked a couple off while trying to adjust other things. Anyway, all comments welcome

Nice,Grebe shot magnus, - and I reckon it could stand a little darkening too.I've just dropped the brightness on my screen and I reckon it looks better

I agree. A nice shot which darkening a little would make even better.

Thanks for the comments everyone, will have a go at processing it a bit darker.

Phil: was taken at Kincraig "lake" in Bispham. There are some Mandarin ducks up there too
