Best Wildflower Season
Don't know about the rest of you, but I just had the best season (more than two months) for getting wildflower photographs here in Northwest Colorada---from Hahns Peak to the Yampa Valley to Buffalo Pass to Rabbit Ears Pass to Stillwater Reservoir. It started on June 8th with this photograph of Sleeping Giant...

and it went on and on through the summer until one final fantastic day on Buffalo Pass August 17th...I have made a selection of these images that can be viewed at

Along with each picture is the day it was made. I hope you'll have a look and enjoy!

Very pretty, Rod, that first shot is spectacular!
The whole collection is great, especially like those columbines.

Rod, I really like that first shot. Really nice work.

I've got family up in the Oak Creek area, so it looks like I may need to spend some time with them.

Damn Rod! It looks like an old dog really can learn new tricks! You seem to have made the transition from fat guys in tight pants to delicate flowers in mountain meadows with extraordinary facility.

Nice work,

Very nice haul of pics, Rod. Looks like I'll have to expand my horizons next summer.
