South Clear Creek Falls
Made a recent day trip out to the Creede area to shoot South Clear Creek Falls and, of course, it's more photographed neighbor to the north. Unfortunately the water flow was disappointing, especially on South Clear Creek. What else should I've expected in late August?? Doh! I tried to make the best of it anyway...

Guy, great composition of what looks to be a very spectacular place. I don't see any problems with water flow on this one.

Neither do I, although I've never been to this place before, so have no frame of reference.
Composition is very good, and I like the details in the shadowed area.
The upper walls that frame the falls look a bit odd, though.

Looks like a successful trip to me!
Did you stop in Creede?

The flow looks great to me, Guy. This is a real stunner. :toast:

Yeah, the flow is definitely a relative thing to images I've seen in the past. John...you can get an idea of what I mean by looking at your "Waterfalls of Colorado" book by Marc Conly as its the cover shot.

Fantastic comp, and I am completely intrigued by the green moss showing through the waterfall. Beautiful.

I really like this as well. My comp suggestion is to crop 1/4 of the photo off the bottom, as the falls will stand out a bit more. Otherwise, this is great. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet comp and very pleasing colors. Looks great to me. If the flow were any more robust, you might lose some of the color and detail in the moss on the upper falls(?). I wouldn't mind a little more contrast in the upper portion of the image, but that's a minor nit. Nice shooting.

That's fabulous, Guy--well composed, great colors, no complaints from me!
