Lake of Fire
On August 10 I hiked up to American and Snow Lakes for sunrise. I set up just below Snow Lake and took the following picture of American Lakes just as the sun rose above the horizon and lit up the eastern sky.

Beautiful reflection Fred, nice work. Looks like ti was a great sky. What if you had gone down near the lake and got the sky in as well?

Love the comp and love the reflection. Very nice. I might bump up the contrast of the landscape surrounding the lake though.

This proves the grand landscape can be small in scope but big in results.

An incredible shot, Fred! Nice work.

The reflection just rocks in this shot. On my monitor, the foreground rocks appear out of focus. If they are in your shot, you might consider a crop up from the bottom.
Nice capture.

Very very nice, Fred. I love that the color even looks to be flowing into and out of the ponds via the respective inlet/outlet streams. I agree with Guy's suggestion - a little tweaking to contrast and saturation would really make this sing.

Great eye!

Awesome shot. And great job seeing this and executing while that amazing sky was overhead.
