Herbert Lake
Here’s another image from Canadian Rockies. This is Herbert Lake which is located just outside of Lake Louise on the Icefields Highway.

Comments and critiques please.

Canon 5D, Sigma 28mm-70mm EX, and polarizer.

Very pleasing shot Dave. It has beautiful light and I love the diagonal line of the snag leading the eyes to the mountains. This little lake was one of my favorites. My only suggestion would be to crop it 4x5, since the upper sky doesn't add much to the composition.

This is also the cover for one of John Shaw's books. I really like this Lake a lot as its a 8-9 AM shot and you practically drive right up to the place. Unlike places like Trillium etc... the wind actually dies down there after sunrise,
I'd try & pop more of the green in those trees a bit and perhaps a bit of the sky, other wise....Nice work on this image
