Chase County, KS, waterfall
The outlet stream from the Chase County State Fishing Lake, near Cottonwood Falls, falls across 3 levels of waterfalls. The upper fall isn't much, but the middle and lower falls aren't bad by Kansas standards :). This is the middle falls, in the late evening. 30D, 1 sec, ISO 100, f/11, slight crop. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Hi Rob,

Really nice to see you took some time to visit this nice little hidden gem in Chase County. I used to fish there years ago living in Emporia. I had totally forgotten about it.
I think you captured it nicely in this comp, the water looks good and nice details in the rock layers.

I definitely wouldn't think of Kansas first if you hadn't told me. I like how the one block divides the flow of water at the top of the falls. It looks a little unnatural but creates the nice dual falls. Another place I need to visit someday.
