Early morning light was stunning on August 23, 2008, when I shot this using Canon 40D and 100-400mm telephoto.

Even blind squirrels find an acorn now and then!
Thanks for your nice comments.

Daniel, a blind squirrel indeed finds an acorn now and then but does he know what to do with it? Seems to me your eyes were wide open on this one and you nailed it. I like the use of the 100-400 to extract this intimate landscape and capture this light, which was indeed beautiful!

Welcome to CSNP! We look forward to having your participation and seeing many more. BTW, posting limits allow you to size your images up to 720 pixels on the long side so make 'em big! :wavey:

This image has a very nice soft light - really very nice! The light on the cypress is especially nice!

I confess that I am still learning how to use my new Canon 40D. Before getting the new SLR I was mostly a snapshot photographer using a canon point and shoot camera! I am more experiences with shooting and editing HD video. Still photography offers new challenges that I am enjoying very much. Your kind words are most encouraging. I hope to continue my learning process and share some of the better results with the rest of you.
