I'm a little slow in posting this, but still wanted to share from the CANP trip up to Sonora Pass. Thanks again to Preston, Lon and Harley. Too bad I didn't get to stay longer. All comments welcom.
A wonderful scene, Michael. Wish I could have made the trip. The foliage around the small stream is very lush and all in great shape here too.
Sure got me looking forward to the upcoming fall outings coming up anyway.

A very pretty scene. Great greens to go with the wonderful flowers. Nicely done.
Looks a little soft, like it could use some sharpening. See my email to you regarding sharpening technique for the web.

Michael,
A beautiful little scene. I'm glad you were able to at least catch this one before having to return home so quickly. Looks like this one scanned very nicely; the colors, contrast and saturation look pretty normal here. We'll have to work on the sharpening. And really that's a poor thing to call it since in most cases the original transparency is usually sharp and not the issue. Getting an image to the web that displays sharply is a whole other question. Sounds like Harley's got you going with that.
I am with the others on this one. I love the composition and the color is nicely vibrant. Sharpening and compression seem to be mutually exclusive, don't they? LF is so very capable of highly detailed photographs and so, trying to match that quality with a compressed jpeg is very nearly futile--but we keep trying, don't we?
Good job here! I hope we can meet up over on the East Side in October!

Hello Michael,
Its very nice to see your work with the large-format camera. Others have already commented on the sharpness issues, so I'll skip that. The composition is very delightful. I particularly like the small stream as it leads me toward the back of the scene. The sheen on the water is another element that I like.

Still, a lovely scene.
