I've had a really busy summer and have not found the time to muse regularly. But the past two weeks have really been exceptional so I feel compelled to recognize some of the most marvelous work of 2008. Michael Lowe has been consistently brilliant all year and this week's pick was the cream of the crop. Ram Pai had not just one but two incredibly beautiful intimate rose shots. And you can't talk about roses without tipping the cap to Larry Lynch.
Patricia Brundage is another regular who has been steadily posting superb work. Speaking of someone on a roll, Cindy Mead has really been putting out some amazing images. Perhaps the most unusual shot of the week came from Ganesh Shankar while Nathan Buck tweaked a fairly common comp and made an uncommon image. Coming back to the forum after a holiday in the mountains was 2007 EP winner Giuseppe Guadagno with a marvelous study in contrasting textures. Last but not least was David Kelly. Since David is a moderator he's not eligible for EP consideration which is probably fortuitous for everyone else. His Sunny Side has to rank as one of the most unique and beautiful sunflower images I've ever seen. Congrats to these and thanks to all who post and comment so faithfully on the finest Flora forum on the planet. >=))>

Thanks for the kind comments, Bill. It is truly an honor to be among the fine group of photographers on this forum. Everytime I log on, I am simply blown away by the quality of images posted. And I'll toot your horn for you. Not only are your images exceptional, but the hard work you put in here is greatly appreciated.
