Hi ,
I have Bridge and lightroom2, they're both great programs I think. I haven't been able to settle on an initial step in my PP.
I'm wondering which of these two programs, users of both out there, use to first ingest their files, keyword etc?
Does anyone find one or the other better at these initial steps?
Bridge is a true browser of course and uses the file/folder system on your computer while Lightroom sets up its own catalogue.
I will always be using both programs, just not sure which one to use for the first steps!
Any thoughts appreciated.
Neale, I use Bridge to cull my photos and change the file names. Then I import them into Lightroom so I can categorize them and add meta tags, get ready to clean them up in Photoshop (or you can do most of the cleanup work in Lightroom now).

Hi Neale,
I have almost quit using Bridge. I try to add as much data a possible on import directly into LR 2. I am using LR for 90%+ of all my work, exceptions when I just need additional capabilities of CS3. On my LR set up I do set up my folders as a "mirror" of my hard drives, even with multiple catalogues, it still acts as a very good browser if carefully set up.
