Aurora borealis alerts?

Hey all:

I used to subscribe to northern lights alerts through an automated e-mail system, sent by a photographer in Alaska who specialized in the aurora.

But he's not doing it anymore, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good e-mail alert system. I'm not looking for something overly technical, and my Googling hasn't taken me anywhere worthwhile.

Have you looked at Space Weather?

Here is something from their front page:
AURORA ALERTS: Did you miss the Northern Lights of August 9th? Next time get a wake-up call from Space Weather PHONE.

Cheers,

Thanks, Mark. I had looked at them, but I'm hoping for free e-mail alerts. Maybe too much to hope for!

Steve, I have email alerts sent to me based upon a specific K value. I go into more detail and have a link here: http://www.my-photo-blog.com/finding-aurora-borealis

Thanks, Ron. I'll look into those options. Excellent aurora info on your site, by the way!

Check this one out, but I don't know what it's worth.

Try http://www.aurorachasers.com/ They have e-mail updates.

Beautiful set last night, now that it gets dark at nights again.

Steve,
I second Mark's suggestion of Space Weather. I signed up with them a few years ago and receive frequent reports all on kinds of activity that takes place in space.
