The mood for getting to the fall season is ever increasing for me, so I thought I'd post this from a couple autumns back now. Taken around Bishop Creek area, south fork, on my first CANP trip to the east side. I do recall it being very cold on that morning and I was working an area just below the reservoir with Preston. We were moving around a lot so we both had MF units going at the time instead of LF's. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Wonderful Paul - I love the warm color combo and contrast between the burnt-out brown leaves nestled with the vibrant yellow ones. The "icing" on the cake is, well of course the frost on the leaves - pun of course intended. The randomness of the grasses I think really completes the natural setting.
I like this, Paul! The color and composition are quite nice. I do remember it being something of a chilly morning. I also remember leaving a bag of ice cubes outside under an aspen tree in camp all day, and it never melted!
I have a definite itch for Fall!

Really nice intimate scene! Love the colors and feeling of cold.
Preston, from what I hear, you have a lot of itches. I won't ask where you have been hanging out.

Paul. Nice. I like the water drops combined w/ the frost. It's funny how the temp changes so fast in the Sierra from September to October.
Thanks everyone for the comments. This was a nice 20x24 print that sold a couple months back now.
Hi Steve, sorry I had used some common abbreviations for Medium Format and Large Format. In this case it was my 6x7cm MF instead of using my 4x5 inch LF camera. I find when I'm moving around a lot the LF is too much time for setup and tear down each time, especially for close in shots like this one.

Hi Paul,
A beautiful detail shot that offers a slice of autumn beauty for close observation. There is such a life-like feel about the leaves that makes me want to reach into the picture and touch them.

What do you mean LF and MF??
